Body Balance, 2025, Digital video, Duration 2.40 looped

Intersections explores ideas of navigation and connection in contemporary life. The series considers how relationships with the world and one another are increasingly experienced through screen-based imagery, contributing to a progressively flattened and abstract understanding of the world.

Through digital collage, the artist's performing body emerges within landscapes of geometric forms, engaging in acts of peering, reaching, balancing, and extending beyond the picture plane. These gestures explore the shifting relationships between physical and digital space, presence and absence, self and other.

Through fragmentation, repetition, and reassembly, choreographed gestures are transformed into playful compositions in dialogue with colour and form that reflect the artist's experience of positioning herself within a mediated world. At its core, the work reflects an ongoing desire for stability, balance, and embodied exploration, using the body to navigate, negotiate, and re-establish forms of connection in a deeply personal search for orientation, clarity, and belonging.
